Radios and Technical Equipment on show in London Museums
I was pleasantly surprised seven years ago when I visited the Science and Victoria and Albert Museums to find displays of old radios there.
The Victoria and Albert Museum has an emphasis on design, and they include bakelite and plastic radios, valve and transistor
The Science Museum has a fantastic display in the basement of a range of household items. I have included some early Spectrum PCs and tape recorders, and dare I say televisions, in the pictures below?
I hope you enjoy this collection of technical nostalgia! These were taken with my first digital camera. If you pay a visit to these museums now you may find they are no longer there, or indeed the collections have been enlarged.
